Subject: Bank Switching/Selection Problem
I am experiencing a problem when trying to select any instrument from any
bank other than the default of 0. I am using Recording Session as the
sequencer, so this should be an option as it fully supports the GUS. I have
set up my ultrasnd.ini as best as I could by copying the bank 0 setup and only
changing the bank # and the instrument names for each different bank. I have
made sure that there were 128 instruments in each bank starting with 0 but to
my dismay, I keep encountering the problem of Recording Session always loading
instruments from Bank 0. Can someone please inform me on how to load
instruments from these customized banks? An edited ultrasnd.ini file either in
text mode or UUEncoded would be very much appreciated!
Sincerely,
Jason DiMichele

Subject: PATCHNAM.ZIP on EPAS
I have uploaded a small utility I made to EPAS - some of you might
find it usefull its called PATCHNAM.ZIP
---------cut---------cut------------cut-----------------------
Patch Name Adder for Gravis Ultrasound Patches
About Patch Name adder:
Patch Name Adder will add General Midi Names to the Ultrasound Patch Set
Why would you want to do that - well maybe you don't but some people
will find it usefull for patch manager because you may enable
"use names from patch files". This will enable you to use custom patches
with your GM patches and actually see the different names. It will
be usefull for patch banking as well.
